S.Vasan, editing is by M. Mahendran, art is by Bhoopathy and the stunts have been choreographed by Murali ‘G’. Music maestro Ilaiyaraja has set to tune the lyrics of Mu.Metha.
The cast comprises Venkatesh and Neha Patel in the lead, with Indrajit and Annapoorani playing important roles. The audio CD was released by Ilaiyaraja and the first copy was received by Balu Mahendra.
What they say
Producer P. Velusamy: I come from Tiruchi and am in the real estate business. Director Vasanthakumar gave me a bound script of the film, when I happened to meet him. I took the script along with me on a foreign trip and, on my return, told him I would produce the film as I liked the story and the screenplay. I am happy with the outcome.
Director K. S. Vasanthakumar: After Machie, I had an eight-year wait. During that time I started to write scripts. But as I liked the script of Oru Orule, I began to improve it. When producer Velusamy told me that he liked the story, I was happy.

Hero Venkatesh: I joined director Vasanthkumar as his assistant director. My director narrated the story to some of the popular heroes and even did a shoot. However, one day he asked me to accompany him to Batlagundu, where we stayed for a month. A workshop was organised and the child actor and I were part of it. That’s when I knew I was going to act in the movie. I have already done small roles in Paruthiveeran and Aadukalam. But this is my first lead role.
Music Director Illayaraja: When I was asked to score the music, shooting for the entire film had been completed. That posed a challenge but I rose to the task of finishing five songs and the re-recording of the movie in two days. I feel that the movie will be a trend-setter in the Tamil film industry.
Music highlights
There are five songs in the album and the best is ‘Thaye Vanthaye’, sung by Ilaiyaraja. ‘Ippadiyum Oruthan Undu’, sung by Velmurugan is good, while ‘Thannanthani’, sung by Haricharan is pleasant. The melodious ‘Thedi Ennai Kaanave’ by Senthil and ‘Vanathil’ by Rita are sure to be hits.
