Lakshmi Menon, the lanky actress from 'God's Own Country', has managed
to cement her place as one of the frontline actresses in the industry in
less than one-and-a-half years' time. The actress, who debuted as
Sasikumar's heroine in last year's Sundarapandian, has now lined up
successive hit films in the form of Kumki, Kutti Puli and Pandianadu.
Just when she is being spoken about in the same
breath as Urvasi and Revathi as an actress in the 'homely' mould,
Lakshmi has reportedly decided to take the glamour route from now. She
is said to be a regular visitor to the gym nowadays, something which she
has never done before, so as to lose the flab around waist to acquire a
slim and attractive figure so that she would be able to don sexy
costumes.
Lakshmi is said to be 'guided' by her friends'
instructions who have told her that she looks very 'boring' on-screen as
a village-belle, a role which she has played in all her films which
have released as on date. Though she has decided to go glamourous,
Lakshmi says she won't breach the 'Lakshman Rekha' when it comes to
exposing.
She has a handful of films including Vishal's upcoming film titled Naan Sigappu Manithan and Dhanush's untitled venture.
